Aquaculture has become a multi-billion dollar global industry. It's great potential to supplement dwindling wild caught species, provide quality protein, produce income and to offer employment is widely recognized. Aquaculture is also an attractive business with the potential for generating significant revenue. As technology advances and greater understanding is reached, the importance of aquaculture's "Blue Revolution" of the this millennium will continue to grow at an increasing pace.
Aquaculture & Fisheries International (AFI) was spawned in 1993 in Miami, Florida. This young, worldwide industry needed a professional, fast reacting organization to be the hub for centralizing the requirements for a full range of supplies and technical services.
International Technical and Business Experience
The company has over 50 years of combined international Aquaculture and business experience. This encompasses a unique blend of east and west, north and south Asian graduate studies, research, and production work, among others.
AFI has international management experience with companies such as Northrup Corporation, Racal Communications, Ltd. and the General Electric Company. We are responsible for product and systems development, marketing, sales, customer support, and staff supervision.
AFI Aquaculture Network
AFI has established a worldwide aquaculture network, including manufacturers, suppliers and end-users from every corner of the globe with its headquarters hub in Miami, Florida, USA., the recognized international gateway. AFI provides clients with a full product range, from hatchery through grow out, to feed milling and seafood processing, and from technical services to seafood sales.
AFI stays up-to-date
AFI's awareness of the most recent developments in aquaculture is an important benefit to its clients. One Stop Shopping
AFI has grown into a significant, internationally respected company, considered by its clients as the "one stop shop" for all aquaculture related equipment, materials, supplies and services.
Prices and Services
AFI has excellent relations with manufacturers and suppliers from every continent. By shipping directly from their inventories, AFI is able to offer products at the manufacturer's own sales price, or at time, even more attractively. AFI's clients normally don't pay a cent more for these products and in addition, receive AFI service and support. This is made possible because AFI makes its profit margin from the sales volume it generates. This makes a win-win situation for all parties concerned. AFI maintains its position in the global aquaculture marketplace by carefully considering client requirements, offering economical alternatives, expediting orders, consolidating cargo, directing forwarding and shipping, providing documentation and status updates.

-Highly Intensive Shrimp / Fish Production Partnerships
The Farming or Culturing of the water combined with careful maintenance of water stability are the two most important principles for successful, high intensity shrimp culture and fish.
AFI, is associated with a leading Taiwanese Organization, which, by using these principles is developing a system proven to produce up to 25 tons of shrimp / HA / Harvest, 50 tons of Milkfish / HA / Crop and 400 tons of Tilapia / HA / Year. Zero water-exchange, highly aerobic, deep, small pond technology which is supported by specialized immuno-stimulant, hepato-pancreas / liver-friendly diets and periodic innoculation of a selected probiotic mix of microorganisms are keys to the system's success. Production levels equivalent to 500 tons of Grouper / HA / year in indoor marine recirculation facilities, have also been achieved based upon similar technology.
AFI offers qualified companies this highly intensive shrimp and fish production system on a technology sharing / participation basis.
